Happy New Year 2024!
Coach's Corner
January 2024

Dear Quaker Football Family,
All of us hope you are enjoying your holiday season with friends and family! As we approach the new year we also want to wish you and your extended family a healthy and happy new year!
The football program is excited for the new year. It brings opportunity and optimism. It’s a time for goal setting and looking ahead to make plans to achieve what is important to our guys and in their lives. We often ask them why they do it and what does it mean to them? The days ahead offer us a time to reflect and prioritize what it will take to achieve our goals. Above all else the football family is important to us as a staff. The guys and families that make it up are important to us. Having our guys work hard in maroon and white and do so loving the game is important to us! Having supportive families like we do is important to us. You are all this program. We appreciate you, value you and respect all of you as the guys honor your past and attack your future with the support of their family!
Section 6 always has some changes. For the Fall ‘24 season AA includes Bennett, Lancaster, Orchard Park, Jamestown, Lockport, Niagara Falls and Hutch Tech. This leaves space for two non-league games to round out our eight game schedule. The off-season always includes rumors and stories. All that matters is what we do! #IPP! I introduced this to you last year and it’s still a focus. Player development! I can’t recruit players (other than our own) so keeping and developing our own is instrumental to our success. Our league opponents include three teams that played for sectional titles in 2023 as Lockport played Clarence in the A title game at Highmark.
In the near future we will be sharing some dates for indoor winter skill sessions. These will be for all FRESH, JV and VARSITY players. Informal opportunities to learn some fundamentals and check in with each other as a football family in chalk talks are other opportunities in the winter that will soon be shared. Phase #1 runs through the month of January at STA and phase #2 info will be out soon as well. In the meantime best of luck in your winter sport, keep working and enjoy your time with your teammates!
Sincerely,
Coach Cieslik & Staff
